🔌 EV Charging

Charge at home.
For pennies a mile.

Smart EV charger installation for homes and businesses across Bristol and the South West — even better when paired with solar and battery storage.

Why charge at home

The cheapest miles you'll ever drive

Public rapid charging can cost several times more per mile than charging at home on an off-peak EV tariff. A properly installed smart charger lets you top up overnight at the cheapest rate available and wake up to a full battery.

Add solar and the sums get better again — surplus generation that would otherwise be exported at a low rate goes straight into your car instead. With a home battery in the mix, you can even charge the car from stored solar after dark.

Every install is carried out by our own NICEIC approved electricians. No subcontractors, no shortcuts, and all the notification paperwork handled for you.

Neat, safe, certified

Installed like we'd install it at home

Because we come from utility-scale renewables — building 50 MWh battery sites and 10 MW solar farms — tidy containment, correct protection and proper certification are second nature. Your charger is installed on its own dedicated, protected circuit, tested and certified before we leave.

We position the unit where it is genuinely convenient to use every day, route cables discreetly, and set up the smart app so off-peak charging just happens.

Charger options

Which charger is right for you?

We install the leading UK brands and recommend the right unit for your car, your tariff and your home — not the one with the best commission.

🔌

Tethered

Cable permanently attached — grab it and plug in. The most convenient option for daily home charging.

🧳

Untethered

Socket-only unit you use with your car's own cable. A cleaner look on the wall and works with any vehicle.

☀️

Solar-linked

Tracks your solar generation and charges the car from surplus power before exporting it to the grid.

Three-phase / 22 kW

Faster charging for commercial premises and homes with a three-phase supply.

What it costs

EV charger installation costs

Indicative pricing for a standard installation. Every quote is fixed after a free assessment — no hidden extras on the day.

Home Charger (7 kW)

£900 – £1,400 installed

A quality smart tethered or untethered unit, dedicated circuit from your consumer unit, RCD/RCBO protection, testing, certification and app set-up. Most homes fall in this range.

Solar-Aware Charger

£1,100 – £1,600 installed

Chargers such as solar-linked models that track your generation and divert surplus into the car automatically. Best value when paired with an existing or planned solar PV system.

Consumer Unit Upgrade (if needed)

£450 – £1,200

Older fuseboards sometimes need upgrading before a charger can be safely connected. We check this at the assessment so there are no surprises on the day.

Commercial & Workplace

Priced per site

Single or multi-bay installations with load management, RFID access and usage reporting. Fixed quotation after a free site survey.

Renters, flat owners and landlords may qualify for the OZEV grant of up to £350 — ask us and we will check your eligibility.

Common questions

EV charger FAQs

How long does installation take?

Most home installs are completed in half a day. We test everything, certify the work and walk you through the app before we leave.

Do I need permission or paperwork?

We handle the DNO notification and electrical certification for you. Listed buildings, flats and rented properties may need freeholder or planning consent — we will advise.

Can I charge from my solar panels?

Yes. A solar-aware charger diverts surplus generation into the car instead of exporting it. With a home battery you can even charge overnight from stored solar.

Are there grants available?

The OZEV grant (up to £350) is available for renters, flat owners and landlords, and there are workplace charging schemes for businesses. We will confirm your eligibility at the assessment.

Which charger brand should I choose?

We are brand-agnostic and install chargers from the leading UK manufacturers. We recommend based on your car, tariff and whether you have solar — not on commission.

Can you install for my business?

Yes — from a single charger for a company car to multi-bay fleet installations with load management and usage reporting.
