What we collect

Enquiry details — your name, email address, phone number, postcode and whatever you tell us about your project when you use the quote form, call or email us.
Marketing attribution — where your visit came from (for example a Google Ads campaign identifier such as gclid, or UTM tags in the link you clicked). This is submitted with your enquiry so we know which advert or search led to it.
Website usage — anonymous statistics about pages viewed, buttons clicked and enquiries sent, collected through Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager when you consent to analytics cookies.

Why we use it

To respond to your enquiry, arrange a survey and provide a quotation.
To fulfil a contract with you and meet our certification obligations (MCS, NICEIC, RECC).
To measure how our website and advertising perform, so we spend our marketing budget sensibly. This relies on your consent for non-essential cookies.

Cookies and advertising measurement

The site uses Google Tag Manager (container GTM-52334NH2) to load Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion measurement. We run Google Consent Mode v2: advertising and analytics storage stay denied until you accept in the cookie banner. Decline and we still count anonymous, cookieless pings only.

Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (_ga cookies) to understand page views and enquiry rates.
Advertising — Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing (_gcl_* cookies) to attribute enquiries to campaigns.

Sharing

We share data only with suppliers that help us run the business: Formspree (enquiry form delivery), Google (analytics and advertising measurement), and where relevant our certification bodies and finance/grant administrators. We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't lead to work are kept for up to 24 months. Records for installed systems are kept for as long as certification, warranty and legal obligations require (typically 6 years or longer for MCS-registered installations).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to marketing, or withdraw consent. Email tom@bambridgeelectrical.co.uk and we'll respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
