Tom and his team turned up exactly when they said and got right to work. Tom kept me informed the entire time they were here from the initial discussion on routing and placement to the final commission. Tom explained how they had set the system up so I could get the best out of it and spent time going through all the various settings so I was sure what I was doing. We had some issues with the software, (Sunsynk issue, not the installers fault), that needed lots of research and Tom spent ages talking to the manufacturer before finally fixing it himself. I got some good advice about further purchases of car chargers and Tom invited me to get in touch about any issues. I've had terrible experiences with electricians in the past and these guys have shown the exact opposite. A brilliant, honest and hard working company I feel I can completely trust.
The Bambridge Renewables team did a fabulous job fitting a 16kWh battery for us. They were really fast and responsive and the workmanship is really tidy. Its going to be great for helping us with lower bills over the winter. No PV yet, but we have the option to add it in the future if we need to as we've been given a hybrid inverter.

How much do solar panels cost?
It depends on system size, roof type, access and whether battery storage is included, so there is no single price. We provide a fixed written quote after a free property survey. See our solar pricing guide →
How many solar panels will I need?
Typically around 8–16 panels for a home, depending on your electricity usage and usable roof space. The survey confirms the right number for your property.
Do solar panels work during winter?
Yes. Panels generate from daylight, not heat, so they produce electricity year-round — output is simply lower in winter than in summer.
Can solar panels be installed with battery storage?
Yes. We install solar and battery storage together, or add a battery to an existing array. Storage lets you use more of your own generation in the evening. Learn about home battery storage →
What happens to electricity I don't use?
It is either stored in a battery or exported to the grid. With an eligible Smart Export Guarantee tariff, your supplier pays for exported units — rates vary by supplier.
How long does a typical installation take?
Most domestic installations take one to two days on site. Larger or more complex roofs can take longer; we confirm timings in your quote.
Do I need planning permission?
Usually not — most domestic rooftop solar is permitted development. Listed buildings, conservation areas and some flat-roof or ground-mount schemes can need consent, which we check at survey. Read our South Wales homeowner guide →
